In the south of Gran Canaria, dining out is usually a safe bet. The overall standard of restaurants, pizzerias and steakhouses is very good. Of course there are exceptions, but in general you can expect good food, solid service and fair quality. If you enjoy meat, a good steakhouse is often an excellent choice: the Spanish know how to cook a fine cut properly, and a good red wine is usually not far away. Even the house wine is often surprisingly good in many places.
That is one of the big advantages of Villa 15: you do not need to eat out every evening. You can cook in the fully equipped kitchen and enjoy dinner indoors or outside on the terrace – and on other days head out for a restaurant evening in Meloneras, Maspalomas or even Puerto de Mogán.
This guide is intentionally personal: not a complete directory, but a selection of places that are genuinely worth it in my view.
